This project experience is hard to put into words. When all was said and done, and you looked at the men and women who worked alongside you, you felt like you just fought a battle and now, we were the victors! The fight was to deliver the impossible, success was the objective and we succeeded. It was the ultimate test of my ability to manage numerous tasks requiring critical time-sensitive information on a daily basis. The days were long, the nights sometimes longer. At times, the site had over 100 people working on it - the site was not very large. This was a landmark project in Newport RI, and more than just a few people were taking notice. The construction company Parker was amazing to work with. They exemplified being great when greatness was needed.

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing in reference to Rob Melinosky’s function & performance during the Audrain Automobile Museum renovation project. The timeline for this project was incredibly tight and the design was evolving daily. (The project more than quadrupled in scope, while the deadline did not change.) We required someone with an architectural background and the technical skills to improve the flow of information from the designers to those in the field. Rob was contracted by Parker Construction to act as a liaison with the architect and to assist work on site by providing detailing and consultation. As he become more essential to this process, he worked directly from the site. His specific responsibilities were: creating CAD drawings detailing specific elements of construction, managing the as-built records & drawings of the building, working with myself and the foreman to explain design intent and reach solutions for problems and in some cases represent Parker Construction with the architect.

I can speak for everyone involved in the project that his efforts were invaluable to our successful completion and it was a pleasure having him as part of the team. I can personally recommend Rob for any position in building planning, design and drawing and am happy to answer any other questions you have.

Respectfully,

David Louttit
